About Marie N’diaye
Marie has been dancing almost as long as she has been walking, but she fell in love with Lindy Hop in 2006. Since then Marie has been fortunate to work and dance with the fantastic teachers of the Cat’s Corner Studio in Montreal and is now based in Stockholm where she teaches at the Chicago Swing Dance Studio. In her classes, she combines modern knowledge and authentic style with a good measure of fun!
from Anaïs Sékiné:
Marie, belle Marie, who’ve had such a big impact and influence on the shapes of today’s Jazz dance since she started coaching, leading, directing the HDC chorus line project in 2012. The lost women of jazz and their unique steps are more and more vibrant today thanks to her fervent work, digging into the archives, reconstructing routines and creating original ones solely based on those specific styles. Even in the tap dance scene you won’t find many people who’ve spent as much time training with this aesthetic. She’s a boss this lady, with grace, character and homy sense of hospitality!
I know it’s not easy, but you’re a powerhouse and a shining star. Have another killer year Marie! Tu me manques mon amie!
